We have so many beautiful patterns in each pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that it's sometimes hard to choose which ones to use, but this card design lets you showcase all of them if you'd like! And it can work with any set of papers.

The Heartfelt Hexagon punch is fabulous because it's easy to tile the pieces together, and it's large enough to fit many sentiments. I started by punching a hexagon on the front of the card. I pushed the punch in as far as it would go, and I positioned it about 1/8" from the right edge of the card--the exact position doesn't really matter, and changing it up gives you different looks. I also punched out a bunch of hexagons from Designer Series Paper. To make the most efficient use of the paper, I cut it into 2" high strips, which fits the punch perfectly and minimizes waste.

Next, I fit several hexagons around the opening on the card front, spacing them with approximately the same gap in between. I used my paper trimmer to cut off the excess, or you can use scissors. Don't throw away the scraps you cut off! They can be used to fill in the lefover spaces on this card or on subsequent cards if you're making several at once (and believe me, you'll want to!). I occassionally needed to change the shape of the scraps so that it would fit in a certain spot, so I used a sticky note as a handle, which allowed me to hold the the scrap to put it back in and punch it again. Once I filled in all the spaces, I stamped a sentiment through the window and added die cuts and embellishments.
These Moonlit Flora papers, Fern & Flora stamp/die bundle, and the Dewdrop embellishments will be available starting May 5th. The Heartfelt Hexagon punch is on the Last Chance list now, so grab it while you can and use it with your favorite Designer Series Papers!
