Nauti and Nice
I love the gorgeous papers in the Scenic Coast suite! Not only are the sunset scenes beautiful, but there are also areas with an iridescent coating that shines and shifts colors, depending on the angle. To show off the papers, I created shadowbox cards inspired by a card Julie Salva shared at the Stampin' Up OnStage convention this year. For each card, I started with a piece of Secret Sea cardstock because it creates a dramatic contrast for the colorful papers. The dies from

Something Old, Something New
We have so many beautiful patterns in each pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that it's sometimes hard to choose which ones to use, but this card design lets you showcase all of them if you'd like! And it can work with any set of papers. The Heartfelt Hexagon punch is fabulous because it's easy to tile the pieces together, and it's large enough to fit many sentiments. I started by punching a hexagon on the front of the card. I pushed the punch in as far as it would go, and I

Burst of Color
Want a fun colorful background? Add a starburst design to your card! This technique lets you arrange 12 triangles to form a striking pattern behind your focal image. I was inspired by a card made by Amanda Mertz a few years ago using a retired die that is no longer available, and I wanted to recreate the look. I dusted off my trigonometry and did the math so you don't have to! To get the correct angles, start with a rectangle that is 3-1/2" x 2" and cut it in half diagonally.

Kits always include an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, and adhesives. The intended projects are always fun, but I love to find different ways to use these versatile kits. Like many cardmakers, I have a special fondness for postal themes, and I hope these ideas will get your stamp of approval! For this first card, I used my own Bas

Special Delivery #1
Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up's monthly subscription box. January's "Special Delivery” kit contained supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 cards. Kits always include an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, and adhesives. The intended projects are always fun, but I love to find different ways to use these versatile kits. The kit included 3 very large die cuts shaped like postage stamps. I used two of them as card fronts, as they were intended to be, but I created different version

Birthday Fancy Kit
Birthday Fancy is one of my favorite current kits. The images are lovely, as are the sentiments in the included stamp set. There are a total of 12 cardbases, 4 each of 3 designs. The cardbases are printed on both sides, so if you wanted to cut them in half and mount them onto your own cardbases, you could easily make plenty of extra cards because there are lots of diecuts of various cakes and sweets and other layering pieces. The kit provides step-by-step instructions in the
