Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up's monthly subscription box. January's "Special Delivery” kit contained supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 cards. Kits always include an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, and adhesives.
The intended projects are always fun, but I love to find different ways to use these versatile kits.
Like many cardmakers, I have a special fondness for postal themes, and I hope these ideas will get your stamp of approval!
For this first card, I used my own Basic White cardbase and a background layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. I stamped with Smoky Slate ink and arranged the postage die cuts as shown, popping up the sentiment with Dimensionals.

This next cardbase is from the kit. The sentiment is from the Notes & Totes set and is stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink.

I used one of the envelopes as the background layer of this card, along with some Blueberry Bushel cardstock.

Next, I wanted up create the look of a postcard.

This last card is an easel card. The cardbase from the kit was turned to the landscape orientation, and I added a scoreline across the front of the card, at the 2-1/8” from the bottom edge. The die cut panel is attached just to the bottom section of the card front.

Every easel card needs a “stopper” to prop up the front panel, and for that, I used some of the leaf die cuts.

What a great kit, right?!
February 10th is the last day to sign up for next month’s kit, called Celebrate Spring. This kit makes 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs, and it includes twine. It will coordinate with the Easter Joy suite. If you‘re in the U.S. and would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me, I’ll send you a handmade thank you card, and I’ll be sure to let you know when I post new ideas!
