Hi! I’m Vy with Crafting Daily Dose. Welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, featuring alternatives for the January 2026 Watercolor in Bloom kit.
This kit included supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Kits always come with an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives. As of today, refills are no longer available for this kit.
I really love the envelopes that came with this kit, so I turned one into a card.

I started by trimming off the sides of the envelope and opening it up. I stamped the front of the envelope using Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate inks and used one of the postage stamp die cuts from the kit. To make sure the card was substantial, I added a Basic White cardbase inside and simply adhered the envelope around it. I stamped a sentiment onto one of the circle die cuts and adhered it to the back using a Dimensional foam sticker to raise it up so that there's room to tuck the envelope flap under it, keeping the card closed. The fold of the Basic White cardbase is along the bottom, and when the "envelope" is opened, a bit of the carbase is visible and looks like a letter peeking out. This was the perfect place to stamp a sentiment! And finally, I did a little stamping on the inside of the card as well.
Measurements:
- Kit envelope
trim width to 5-1/2" (W)
- Basic White cardstock
5-1/2" (W) x 8-1/2" (H), scored at 4-1/4” along the long side (place fold on bottom)
This was one of my favorite kits, and I made several alternatives (see sets 1 & 2), so I created a folio to store some of them. I sometimes give sets of cards to my family to use, and this is a beautiful way to present them!
I scored and a sheet of Bubble Bath cardstock as shown and cut away the small middle flap at the bottom--see measurements below. Once the score lines were folded, I adhered just the corners of the bottom flaps to create simple pockets.
I added ribbon to hold the folio closed ad and used pieces from the kit to decorate the outside.

Measurements:
- Bubble Bath cardstock
11" (W) x 8-1/2" (H), scored at 5-1/4” and 5-3/4” along the long side, and at 6-1/2” and 6-3/4” from the top along the short side
- Mossy Meadow & Gold 1/4" ribbon
24”
