A Bright Idea

I’m so excited to be the Guest Designer on the Pear Blossom Press blog today—go check it out! We really got the party started for my favorite puffins by adding lights to the celebration for some extra special cards!

This was a lot simpler than it sounds because I’m using EZ Lights, which are pre-wired and ready to go. The cards come together quickly without the fuss of planning out and creating a paper circuit. I’ve got a tutorial showing you how to create a basic lighted flat card and then a box card, so you can try them too.

Flat Card Measurements:

-Calypso Coral cardstock

• 8-1/2" (W) x 5-1/2" (H), scored at 4-1/4" along the long side

-Basic White cardstock

• 3-3/4" (W) x 5" (H)

-Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

• 4-1/8" (W) x 5-3/8" (H)

• 3-3/4" (W) x 1/2" (H)

Box Card Measurements:

-Calypso Coral cardstock

•11" (W) x 4-1/4" (H), scored at 2-1/8" along the short side and a 4", 5-1/4", 9-1/4", and 10-1/12" along the long side (see video for more detailed cutting instructions)

-Basic White cardstock • 3-3/4" (W) x 4" (H) -Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper • 3-3/4" (W) x 4" (H) • 3-3/4" (W) x 1-7/8" (H) • TWO of 1" (W) x 1-7/8" (H) • FOUR of 1" (W) x 3/4" (H)
