As the holidays approach, I‘m preparing ways to give out checks and gift cards. Today I have a quick and easy idea to share with you! It uses the new Ever Eden Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Eden dies. These products will be available starting tomorrow, November 2nd! The dies (and coordinating stamp set) are an early-release product from the upcoming January-June 2022 mini catalog, but the specialty DSP with gold foil is only available until January 3rd or while supplies last.

This design allows you to show off both sides of the DSP! When you open the card, there’s a pocket for tucking in a check or gift card.

Measurements:

-Evening Evergreen cardstock

  • 4-1/4” (W) x 5-1/2” (H)

-Ever Eden DSP

  • 12” (W) x 5-1/4” (H), scored at 4” & 8” along the long side

Die Cuts:

-Very Vanilla cardstock

  • Stitched Rectangle 2-3/4” (W) x 1-7/16” (H)

  • Stitched Rectangle 2-5/8” (W) x 4” (H)

-Evening Evergreen cardstock

  • Eden frame

  • Eden foliage

Once you decide which side of the DSP you’d like showing on the front, place that side on top. Make a diagonal cut from the top of the 8” score line to the bottom right corner of the DSP (see picture above).

Now turn the DSP over so that the other side is showing. Adhere the right-most panel to the center of the cardstock base. Place Tear & Tape along the bottom edge of the left-most panel (see picture below).

Remove the backing from the Tear & Tape and fold over the left panel so that it’s now adhered to the middle panel. You’re already done with the basic structure of the card! Now it’s just a matter of gluing on the other layers and embellishments as shown, or you can step it up as much as you’d like! For this particular card, I used the “congratulations” sentiment from To the Moon.

Went through the nightmare of trying to dispute checkr background check errors after they flagged me for a charge that was never even mine. Sent in documentation, court records, everything. Two weeks later? Got a notice that the dispute was marked as frivolous with no justification. Like, what does that even mean? They didn’t explain, didn’t correct anything—just closed the case like I was wasting their time. Meanwhile, the job offer vanished. These companies hold people’s livelihoods in their hands and treat accuracy like an optional setting. Anyone else get hit with this kind of garbage response?
