Delicate Wings: A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

Hi! I’m Vy with Crafting Daily Dose. Welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, featuring alternatives for the April 2024 Delicate Wings kit.

This kit included supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Kits always come with an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives. As of today, refills are still available for this kit.

I used the beautiful stamp set to create 5 butterflies using Basic Gray and Lost Lagoon inks on Basic White cardstock. The images can be cut out by hand or with the coordinating Thanks & Beyond dies.

I folded each butterfly in half. The Basic Gray butterflies were for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th positions, and they were folded as valley folds, with the wings coming forward. The remaining 2 Lost Lagoon butterflies were for the 2nd and 4th positions and were folded as mountain folds, with the wings going back.

I adhered the wings of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th butterflies together at random angles and accordion-folded them flat. I then added the 1st and 2nd butterflies so that the bodies of the 1st and 5th butterflies lined up. Keeping everything folded flat, I added the line of butterflies to the inside of the card, adhering down the outer wings of the 1st and 5th butterflies. As a finishing touch, I added some of the small butterfly die cuts from the kit, making sure everything fit within the card.

I kept the card front very simple, using just 1 of the large butterfly die cuts, along with a sentiment.

Thank you so much for visiting! Don’t forget to follow the hop and see other creative projects from our team!

Today, May 10th is the last day to sign up for this month’s kit, called The Best There Is. This kit will make 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. If you‘re in the U.S. and would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me, I’ll send you a handmade thank you card, and I’ll be sure to let you know when I post new ideas!
