July 2022 Technique Squad Blog Hop

Writer: Vy TranVy Tran

Welcome to the July 2022 Technique Squad Blog Hop! I’m excited to be a part of this collaboration with fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrators because it’s a chance to explore new techniques and have fun experimenting. This month, we’re doing the kiss technique and telling all about it!

This is a technique for creating patterns on stamped images and can be done in different ways. All of them involve “kissing” one stamp to another to transfer the pattern before stamping onto paper. I used Knit Together as the background stamp. The more solid images were the “birthday” sentiment from Biggest Wish and the abstract sky stamp from Oceanfront. I chose to ink up my solid images and then press them onto the uninked background stamp. This is one time when it’s okay to kiss off!

I then stamped my solid image, but you could do the opposite and stamp the newly inked background stamp instead. You could even have 2 different colors of ink on each stamp before kissing them together.

Thank you for hopping to my site and checking out my project! I hope you’ll have a chance to try this technique with us.
