Meaningful Flowers #1

Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up's monthly subscription box. August's "Meaningful Flowers” kit contained supplies for 8 cards--4 each of 2 different designs. Kits always include an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives.

The intended projects are always fun, but I love to find different ways to use the kits and show their versatility.

The forget-me-not flowers are so sweet, and adding a pop-up surprise inside makes this card even more unforgettable!

This alternative can be made with the addition of some cardstock. I've chosen Lemon Lolly for the cardbase and Daffodil Delight as a decorative layer. The envelopes have beautiful designs printed on them, so I cut one up to decorate the front of the card. The linen thread used for the bow came from the kit. I added Brushed Brass Butterflies, which are one of my favorite embellishments and are flat enough to even go inside the card. As always, the link to supplies is at the end of this post.

A strip of Lemon Lolly cardstock is all that is needed for the auto-pull mechanism, which is quicker to make than you might think. Watch to make your own:

September 10th is the last day to sign up for next month’s kit, called With Love & Gratitude. This kit makes 8 treat envelopes and 8 matching notecards. A gorgeous coordinating journal is available in the online store while supplies last. If you‘re in the U.S. and would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me, I’ll send you a handmade thank you card, and I’ll be sure to let you know when I post new ideas!
