New Beginnings

Happy New Year! I’m always excited for a fresh start, and I’m eager for you all to see the new products in the January-June 2022 mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration goodies! They’re coming tomorrow, January 4th—it won’t be long now!

Today, I’m sharing a screen divider card made with the gorgeous Crane of Fortune bundle. I love these images, and the coordinating papers are gorgeous! In addition to the foiled Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper, I’ve used the new Mother of Pearl paper. This one is really hard to capture on camera! There are embedded flakes of iridescence that capture the light beautifully. It’s smooth and glossy, but you can still stamp on it with Stazon ink, which is what I did for the crane.

The “legs” are optional but fun to add. Any number of dies or punches could work here. There are fancier shapes, but my collection of punches is modest, and I ended up using the Ice Cream builder punch (the top part of the ice cream scoop). I folded up the panels and punched out 2 layers together at a time. I marked the center bottom of one panel (1-3/8" from the side) and then marked up 1/2" from that and used that as a guide for punching out my shape.

I can't wait to create more with this set!
