Welcome to the November 2021 Technique Squad Blog Hop! I’m excited to be a part of this collaboration with fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrators because it’s a chance to explore new techniques and have fun experimenting. This month, we’re using the no-line watercoloring technique! This involves stamping your image in a light ink, which is blended out when you watercolor on top of the image. It’s typically done to color in line images, but I wanted to use it for the Eden’s Garden stamps.
I first stamped the images onto Fluid 100 watercolor paper using So Saffron ink. This created a guide for painting with several different ink colors: Cinnamon Cider, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Soft Succulent. I matted my watercolor panel with Mossy Meadow cardstock and added a border die cut and some gems. You’ll find a link to the list of supplies at the end of this post.
