Peaceful Christmas

Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up's monthly subscription box. October’s "Peaceful Christmas" kit included components for 10 cards—5 each of 2 different designs. Kits always include an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives.

The intended projects are always beautiful, but I love to find different ways to use the kits and show their versatility. For this alternative, I focused on the gorgeous printed card base with its silver foil accents.

This is a rain shaker card—or in our case, a snow shaker! It was originally created by Laura Dovalo, and I love this type of card so much that I’ve made several. I have plenty of tips to share if you’d like to make one too! Here are the instructions:

Measurements:

-Basic Black cardstock

  • 7-1/2” (W) x 8” (H), scored at 3-3/4” along the short side

  • TWO of 3-1/4” (W) x 1/2” (H)

  • TWO of 3-3/4” (W) x 1-3/4” (H)

-Basic White cardstock

  • 3-3/4” (W) x 7-1/2” (H)

I really enjoyed making this card and hope you'll like it too! This kit is no longer available, but hopefully refills can be purchased soon.

Novemer 10th is the last day to sign up for next month’s kit, called Peaceful Christmas. There are supplies for 9 treat packages—3 each of 3 designs. If you‘re in the U.S. and would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me, I’ll send you a handmade thank you card, and I’ll be sure to let you know when I post new ideas!
