Hi! I’m Vy with Crafting Daily Dose. Welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, featuring alternatives for the July 2025 Sweeter with You kit.

This kit included supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Kits always come with an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives. As of today, refills are still available for this kit.

I loved this fun kit, and I’m excited to share a berry sweet alternative!

Using the Garden Green cardbase from the kit, I added a series of score lines to the existing center card fold and trimmed off 1/4” from the side. This creates a narrow tab, as well as 4 panels. Using my snips, I trimmed down the height of the tab and created a triangle shape from the other 4 panels as shown.

Next, I cut the envelope flap and trimmed the ends so that the total width was 5-1/2”. Then, I cut the piece in half vertically and scored each piece horizontally at 1” from the top. I folded each piece across the first and last panels of the cardbase and cut off the excess parts that crossed over into the next panel (marked with crosshatching in the photo).

Measurements:

- Kit cardbase

  • 8-1/2" (W) x 5-1/2" (H), scored at 1/4”, 2-1/4”, 4-1/4” (original score line), and 6-1/4” along the long side. Cut at the 8-1/4” mark to trim off 1/4” from the remaining side. Then trim as per diagram

- Kit envelope

  • TWO 2-3/4” (W) x original height, scored horizontally at 1” from the top edge

- Basic White cardstock

  • 4-1/4" (W) x 3/4" (H), scored at 1/2” and 3-3/4” along the long side (long support tab)

  • 3-1/4" (W) x 3/4" (H), scored at 1/2” and 3-1/4” along the long side (short support tab)

  • TWO 1-15/16" (W) x 2" (H) (message panel)

Next, it was time to decorate! I folded the cardbase along the score lines, making sure to burnish the creases well with my bone folder. Then, I folded down the tabs on the 2 support pieces and adhered them across the center 2 panels of the cardbase—the shorter one on top. These should be flat against the card when the card is flat, but now that the cardbase has been folded, you can see that it will naturally want to pop up a bit, and as it does, the support pieces will also pop up.

I glued 2 of the medium-sized strawberries to the top support piece. I sponged Poppy Parade ink onto the large pink strawberry, stamped a sentiment using the included Garden Green ink, and glued it onto the bottom support piece. It’s important to only use glue on the center of the die cut so that the edges of the die cut can lift off the surface of the support piece for more dimension.

Once I applied adhesive to the tab, I was able to connect the side edges of the cardbase to one another, creating a 3-dimensional diamond shape. To finish the front, I added a small strawberry at the bottom and a couple of flowers.

Lastly, I adhered the messsge panel to the back. As you can see, the card can fold down flat to fit in an envelope—perfect for sending a sweet surprise!
