Wonderful

I love non traditional colors for Christmas cards, so the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper (DSP) is a favorite! I’ve used it in two recent cards.

Inspired by the color palette of the DSP, I chose to create a Polished Pink poinsettia. The pieces were cut from Snowy White Velvet Paper. It’s got a nice texture—and look how well it shows off the debossed details! Though the paper starts out white, it’s easy to add color with a blending brush and ink. As always, you can find the links to the supplies at the bottom of this post.

I used a different design from the paper pack to create simple interactive windows by cutting around the presents on the front panel with a craft knife. I also fussy-cut ornament images and adhered them directly behind the windows. The front panel of the card was mounted with foam to create depth. You could also stamp on the layer beneath so that it would be seen when the window is opened.
