Moon Shine

I’m over the moon about being the Guest Designer on the Pear Blossom Press blog again today—go check it out! This is a special card: it’s a pop-up that also lights up!

To make the moon glow, I’ve used Halo Lights, which are pre-wired and ready to go. That makes the electrical part simple! Last month, I showed how to make 2 cards with the EZ Lights, but this card is different because it takes advantage of the circular arrangement of lights. It’s designed so that the activation button is accessible when the card is opened. I‘ll show you how to make it step by step:

Measurements:

-Basic White cardstock

• 3-1/2" (W) x 3-1/2" (H)

-Night of Navy cardstock

• 4-1/4" (W) x 11" (H)

scored at 5-3/8”, 5-1/2”, 9-5/8”, and 9-3/4” along the long side

at 9-5/8”, cut from 1-1/4” to 3“

• 4-1/4" (W) x 6-1/2" (H), scored at 1-1/4” and 5-3/8” along the long side

• 2-1/2" (W) x 2-3/8" (H), scored at 7/8” and 1-1/8” along the short side

-Vellum cardstock

• 3-1/2" (W) x 3-1/2" (H)
